Installing Printer Drivers



These are general guidelines for installing printer drivers, they may vary slightly depending on your operating system

1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Printers, and then double-click Add Printer.
2. Follow the prompts. It is recommended that your printer be installed as a local printer.
3. When prompted to select the manufacturer make and model, click Have Disk.
4. Browse to the location that the printer drivers were extracted to.
5. Select the .inf file and click OK. click OK again.
6. The driver should appear in the box, click Next
7. Select the Printer Port you are using, usually LPT1. Click Next.
8. Type in a name for the Printer so thay you can recognize it. (for example, AWMS-426).
9. Select No for the question, Do you want your window-based programs to use this as the default printer?
10. Select No when prompted to print a test page.
11. Click Finish.
